Last updated: July 2026. The Tricorder is a companion service for the TNG Computer, an open home-computer project. It is currently a free beta.
You get an account and a household ("tenant") that relays voice commands and saved items between your phones and the computer running in your own home. We provide the relay as-is, with no uptime or support guarantees while in beta. We may suspend accounts that abuse the service (flooding, attacking other tenants, illegal content).
Transcripts, saved library items, and playlists belong to you. We store them only to provide the service and never sell them or use them for advertising. Deleting an item deletes it; deleting your household deletes everything in it.
Keep your household's passwords and pairing codes to yourselves. The computer on your side runs on your own hardware under your own Anthropic subscription — its behavior, and Anthropic's terms for it, are between you and Anthropic.
